About Carly

I am a licensed psychologist who has worked with teens and adults in various settings throughout my career. I received my master's and doctorate degrees from the California School of Professional Psychology in San Diego where I researched and published my dissertation on the effects of anxiety on romantic relationships. I completed my predoctoral internship at Sovereign, an adolescent dual diagnosis residential treatment center, where my training focused on treating teenagers with substance abuse, eating disorders, and other co-occurring mental health issues.

More About Me

I completed my postdoctoral hours providing individual psychotherapy in a private practice setting. I currently work with adults and adolescents and specialize in treating anxiety disorders, mood disorders, eating disorders, anger management, and relationship issues. I integrate various therapeutic modalities, such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Emotion-Focused Therapy (EFT), and dynamic approaches. I strive to create a welcoming and compassionate therapeutic experience by tailoring each treatment to an individual's unique needs.

Therapeutic approach

Dr. Tysch’s therapeutic approach is centered on creating a welcoming and compassionate environment where clients feel truly heard and understood. She believes that therapy should be as unique as the individual, and she carefully tailors her interventions to align with each client's specific goals and life circumstances.

She integrates various evidence-based modalities, including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) to address thought patterns and behaviors, and Emotion-Focused Therapy (EFT) to deepen emotional processing. By also incorporating dynamic approaches, she helps clients gain the insight necessary to navigate relationship issues and improve their overall mental well-being.
